Reiterates Commitment to Achieve Mandate
The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has organised a workshop for all its Enrollment Officers across the State, including the Mobile Units Team to double their efforts in registering residents of Lagos as part of a renewed effort to achieve its mandate.
Speaking at the forum held recently at the Folarin Coker Hall, Alausa Ikeja, the General Manager of the Agency, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola appreciated the efforts of everyone over the years and enjoined the officers to continue to scale up registration so that the Agency will have a robust and accurate database that would be used for planning and allocation of resources in Lagos.
She opined that the enrollment officers and mobile teams should also help create awareness about the new LAG-ID Card at their various Registration Outlets, saying “There are different features and benefits residents can enjoy through it, such as access to Healthcare, Transportation Services, Education, Welfarism, Security and Loan Facility, among others. These are apart from serving as a means of identification”.
Adebiyi-Abiola stated that there will be zero tolerance for extortion as LASRRA registration is free, stressing that any officer caught demanding money or any form of gratification before carrying out what he/she is supposed to do would be dealt with severely.
The General Manager also used the platform to create awareness amongst the officers on the USSD code *347*641# which can be used to check the status of one’s LAG-ID Card, adding that hard work would be rewarded and celebrated amongst the officers.
