As part of its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in resident data capture and registration, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has organised a two-day refresher training programme on image enhancement and editing for all Station Managers, Supervisors across the five divisions of Lagos State, alongside its authorised Enrollment Partners.
The Training, which was held between Thursday and Friday, July 17-18, 2025, at the LASRRA Headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja, aims to improve the quality of passport photographs captured during the registration of residents into the Lagos State Residents Registration Database. This will also ensure that participants recognise the critical role of clear and standardised images in identity management and data integrity.
The General Manager of LASRRA, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, in her opening remarks, emphasised the importance of image quality in residents’ identity cards. She stated that bad quality images affect the further processing of residents’ information for card printing and, therefore, should be taken very seriously at all times.
“A good-quality image is not just a formality; it is a key element in ensuring accuracy, security, and usability of the LAG-ID Cards. Blurred or improperly lit photographs can affect verification processes and reduce public confidence in the card. That is why we are investing in retooling and retraining our front-line staff and partners,” she said.
