The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA), in collaboration with the Seed Care & Support Foundation, has hosted the second edition of its Gift Presentation Ceremony for pupils from low-fee private schools who emerged as lucky winners in a recently conducted raffle draw.
The event, which took place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the LASRRA Board Room, is part of ongoing efforts by the agency to encourage inclusive participation in residents’ registration and promote civic engagement among all demographic groups, especially children in underserved communities.
Speaking at the event, the General Manager of LASRRA, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola expressed delight at the growing impact of the initiative, which is aimed at incentivising early registration of children in the Lagos State Residents Registration database.
She emphasised that capturing young residents is vital for effective planning, ensuring inclusive governance and equitable distribution of public services. A good example is the Mandatory Health Insurance Scheme. She noted that the raffle draw was part of an awareness campaign to promote registration among Lagos residents, including school-age children, and commended the Seed Care and Support Foundation for their unwavering partnership.
“This initiative is more than a gift presentation,” she said, “It is a bridge that connects underserved communities to the broader benefits of government planning and support. We are grateful for our continued partnership with the Seed Care & Support Foundation, whose unwavering support and shared vision have made this possible.”
The acting Director-General, Mr. Aderemi Abdul, who was represented by the Director in the Office, Mrs. Evelyn Ibukun Pelemo acknowledged the synergy and innovation between LASRRA and Seed Care & Support Foundation, which speaks volumes of Lagos State’s inclusive vision to “Leave No Child behind”.
